Kim Kardashian "Complex Shoot"

Marc Ecko shopazine, Complex, created quite a stir when they released their April/May issue that featured a CGI rendering of Kanye West on the cover, transforming the rapper from a black man into a silver-skinned cyborg. But he wasn’t the only one getting the technological treatment, it looks like their retouchers did a bunch of work on cover girl Kim Kardashian too. We spotted this image (left) of the talentless starlet this morning in their “web exclusive” gallery (since removed), but by afternoon she was looking a lot better (right).

T.I vs Court

Photobucket

While the rapper made a plea deal, his sentencing isn't set in stone.

On October 14, 2007, on the eve of the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, T.I. was arrested after attempting to illegally purchase weapons, and a search of his home turned up even more firearms. He was convicted on the felony weapons charges, and it seemed as if his career could be in jeopardy and he would be sentenced to years behind bars.

But Tip was able to secure a plea deal last March that suggested if he completed 1,000 hours of community service before sentencing, paid a $100,000 fine and agreed to complete another 500 hours of community service after his jail time, he would be sentenced to a year and a day in prison. The sentence is notable, according to legal experts, because of the specific length. If T.I. were to be sentenced to one year in prison, for example, he would be required to complete the entire sentence. But, similar to Lil' Kim's case a few years ago, a sentence of one year and one day could allow T.I. to be released earlier for good behavior, if warranted.

From the series finale of Tip's MTV show "Road to Redemption," which aired on Tuesday (March 24), we know that his upcoming sentencing on Friday isn't a slam dunk — and we don't know what will follow immediately afterward, either. According to Vibe's April cover story, Tip will most likely report to jail within a 30- to 60-day time frame.

Nothing is guaranteed Friday beyond Tip's appearance in court. What allowed T.I. to strike his unique deal in the first place was a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in January 2005 that said federal sentencing guidelines were suggested and not mandatory.

It's not the ideal situation to be in, but T.I. seems to be handling it well. Late last year, he told MTV News he was mentally preparing for his prison time. He said he would spend his incarceration planning his activity after his release, which is expected to include writing rhymes. Earlier this month, he said he has at least 19 new songs recorded already for his next album.

"Presumably, while I'm there, I'll be able to strategize my comeback," Tip said in 2008. "All those days will be spent speaking to people who are interested in being in the T.I. business. Preparing myself for the days those doors open, when I put my feet back on the ground of the free world. It's just months of planning. It's just a long time to roll the project out. I ain't gonna just be sitting still doing nothing. The wheels will be turning, just the car ain't going nowhere."

Fabolous sets a classical album up from "Carlito's Way"

Fab says LP 'touches on so many issues' from the 1993 movie 'Carlito's Way' but is still relatable.

Fabolous says Loso's Way is still on the way. The Brooklyn native was inspired to record the album after viewing the 1993 Al Pacino drama "Carlito's Way." He says we all have more in common with Charlie Brigante than we know.

"The album is so crazy," he told us on the set of the The-Dream's "Rockin That Thang" remix video. "[My album] touches on so many issues from the movie, but it still [expresses] principles that people go through every day and could relate to. That's why I chose the movie. I was watching the movie and was like, 'The stuff going on in this movie, everybody could relate to it.' Just like how dude came out of jail and was like, 'I'm not going back to jail.' Everybody feels that way on the come-out. It's the journey to do something better. When I was coming out of the 'hood, I felt I wanted to do something better, and [I put] the journey to do something better ... in this album. A lot of things have happened [since my career started]. I've gotten shot, I've got arrested, I've had a baby. All of these things have happened, so I wanted to put that in music form."

In the film, Carlito was expecting a baby before he took that fateful train ride to the great beyond. Fab talks about anticipating becoming a father in a song called "Stay," which features Marsha Ambrosia. And if you're wondering, 'Loso also brings to life the action-packed scene in which Carlito offs a bar full of thugs after yelling, "OK, I reloaded!"

"That's gonna be 'Just Comin' In,' " Fab said. "At the beginning of my joint. In my intro, I'm going in certain places and talking about things, talking about certain things that I don't think people have really heard me talk about or heard how I really feel.

"Right after that, I'm reloaded," he added. "I got a song on the album called 'Pachanga.' We say 'puh-chang-uh' on the song. That was Carlito's man, but we know at the end of the movie that was the dude who got Carlito set up to get shot. You see how friends change in due time. I got a crazy joint on the album that explains how certain things or certain friends change in your lifetime."

Fabolous said the LP should be out sometime between spring and summer.

NIck and Mariah moving into "World's Most Expensive Crib"

If reports are to be believed, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon may be moving on up to a mansion in Beverly Hills. The couple has reportedly made an offer on the world’s most expensive house currently on the market.

Fleur de Lys, the five-acre estate in Holmby Hills, is listed at $125 million. The palatial 15-bedroom mansion was built by Texan billionaire David Saperstein. According to Luxist, the 41,000-square-foot French limestone mansion features Italian marble walls, French limestone floors, gold-embossed leather wall coverings, gold-leaf crown moldings, a ballroom with ceiling frescoes, a library complete with rare books, two kitchens, and a screening room with seating for 50.

There were earlier reports that Mariah and Nick were looking to make permanent residence on the West Coast while Mariah records her new album and pursues acting. “They like the home because there’s so little that needs doing to it,” a source tells Contactmusic.

We can’t wait to see that episode of “Cribs.”

BLACKOUT 2 ?

Photobucket

According to hiphopdx.com, Method Man and Redman are finally finished up in the studio as the duo sets to release the follow up to their 1999 platinum album Blackout.

Blackout 2, which was initially scheduled to drop in 2008, was pushed back numerous times but now a solid release date has been set for this spring. After finishing up the Still High Tour with Termanalogy, the Alchemist and Evidence, Red and Meth finished and set a released date for their highly anticipated sequel.

The Wu-Tang Clan and Def Squad tandem will be releasing Blackout 2 under Def Jam Recordings on April 28th.

The album features production from Pete Rock, Rockwilda, and Erick Sermon, as Meth and Red promise to satisfy patient fans.

The track "Ayo" that was leaked earlier this month has been confirmed to be included on the album along with "Miss International" featuring Erick Sermon and "City Lights" featuring Bun B.

Blackout 2 will be released 10 years since the original Blackout, which was placed at the top of a lot of 1999’s best album lists. Entertainment Weekly explained how the two lyricists work so well together. "When Hip Hop's most playfully creative rhyme stylers throw down like two superballs in a rubber room, they're unstoppable, and make rap's most joyous ride.”

The sequel to How High, a cult-followed "stoner film," titled How High 2, is currently being written with production and filming to start this summer.
